This is a daily check in program: You will either email, text or leave me a phone message with your progress every day. I will respond to your check-ins with affirmations and inspirations.

You pay $30.00 + $100.00 Deposit up front. There is a $5.00 daily increasing penalty for each day you miss a check in. The $130.00 rate includes a refundable $100.00 deposit for the 30 Day session. So if you follow our agreed-upon daily check in practice, the program will only cost you $1.00 a day, or $30.00.

This program is set up for your success!!!

In This Episode of Lesbian Relationships Podcast w/JiandaMonique: Enjoy A Chat With Dewberries Owner and Entrepreneur, Jacquelyn Kennedy.

Dewberries Boutique and Lounge is hot! Everyone from Marquita Thomas, to SheWired, to Cherry Bomb, to Curve Magazine’s got the fever…and the only prescription? More shopping in this cute FWBY (for women, by women), lesbian-owned boutique, and it just keeps getting better.

Jacquelyn Kennedy, Owner and Developer of the Dewberries lifestyle brand, lounge, and boutique, is a one woman-show.

Still, Kennedy’s Dewberries queendom brings with it a sense of community: Kennedy’s supportive partner, uber-funny Latina Diva of Comedy Sandra Valls, generously shines the spotlight on Kennedy’s boutique-lounge, nonprofit activism, nurturing community parties and empowering workshops, and in-the-pocket coolness of the Dewberries brand. From all accounts, the Dewberries crew is unstoppable!

From Kennedy’s website, LuvThatDewBerries.com:

You need only a few moments in her presence to learn she’s a woman set on constant self discovery. A twisted blend of Radiance, Energy, Confidence and Sass, She’s an Intelligent Bombshell! Jacquelyn began her success diving into the pool of entrepreneurship.

Recognizing the beauty in fashion, cultural diversity, self affirmation and empowering all women has been at the forefront of Jacquelyn’s career.

Event Update: Writing the Flood Workshop In the Bay Area w/ Jen Cross

Upcoming Event: Writing the Flood Workshop In the Bay Area

Flood Writers

Writing the Flood

Monthly, every third Saturday, 1-4:30 pm

Limited to 12 writers

Beginning May 2010 – A general-topic writing workshop, open to all!

For anyone looking to prime the writing pump: using the Amherst Writers and Artists method, we will write in response to exercises designed to get those pens moving, and get onto the page the stories that have been stuck inside for too long.

Continue working on an ongoing project, or get started on something that’s been percolating for awhile. We have time for three different writing exercises, so you’ll leave with fresh material. Receive feedback from peer writers about what’s already strong in your new work.

We meet in downtown San Francisco, near the Powell Street cable car turn around, and right at Powell Street BART, so we’re easily accessible by public transportation. There are also several parking garages nearby.

No previous writing experience required — open to folks of all writing abilities!

wholeheart

In Episode 4 of Lesbian Relationships w/Jianda Monique, “The Ex-Factor: There’s No Such Thing as an ‘Ex’,” Jianda Monique demystifies this somewhat cryptic ex-factor idea, also tackling ideas of lesbian bed death, dyke drama, and transphobia. She also shares a wealth of Sapphic and LGBT resources, to enrich your life and entertain your soul. Also: More news about Justice for Don Belton, and continuing to honor his spirit–and…a new song.

New Music: “Whole Heart” by Jianda Monique

Press Release -

FOR IMMEDIATE ENJOYMENT AND DISTRIBUTION – CIRCULATE AND RETWEET WIDELY:

[

New Music by Jianda Monique: Whole Heart “Keeps It Round.”

Jianda Monique’s New Single “Whole Heart” Continues The Extended Meditation Jam.

(August 2010, Boulder, CO – Contact: SugarMamaPR at: sugarmamapr @ yahoo.com)

Jianda Monique, whose single “Stay In Love,” among others, was recently featured in the full-length drama/comedy “Family” (Dir. Faith Trimel) is back in fine form…or yogic form, perhaps?

Often critiqued for the “songs in the round” structure of some of her previous tunes, including “Wish” (From Om Records’ noted Tenth Anniversary release, “Om Lounge 10″) and “Stay In Love,” Jianda Monique simply follows the muse, which continues to whisper sweet somethings to her like: Keep it simple. Keep it tribal. Keep it round.

“Song structure, western scales, pop song construction, while I love them and they sell records, they don’t take the place of the human heartbeat,” Jianda begins. “There was song as salve, song as celebration, song as ritual before song as structure, I’m sure of it.”

Jianda continues, “I like the tribal, loving, organic feeling I get when I’m chilling, tapping into Source, meditating. We can even have walking meditations, dancing meditations, and of course, dreaming, making love, making light, making life. Everything comes back to the heartbeat–the repetitive, consistent, insistent, persistent beat of the heart. I’ve decided to explore this more organic idea. Everyday, it feels like that’s just beginning, hence the name and the tone of the track–Whole Heart.”

Having attempted fundraising to record an album in the last few months, Jianda decided to take the new album idea one song at a time when the efforts stalled midway. “I’m grateful for those who offered up support, but Spirit has a different journey in mind apparently,” she continues. “Whole Heart” spoke to me, telling me it was time to begin again. Music heals, gets right to the heart of things for me. I needed to keep moving forward.”

Experimental to be sure, Jianda’s been in bands and written indie/alternative tracks, downtempo and dance music, neo-soul jams, and now, apparently meditative-yogic selections. Says Jianda: “I guess keeping it round means being well-rounded, too. I love art and artists from every walk of life, so why wouldn’t my art reflect that? My music’s moving in more of a meditative direction right now, and I’m happy to let that blossom and unfold for the Highest Good.”

An eclectic artist in her own right (often compared to everyone from Sade, to Tracy Chapman, to the Cocteau Twins), Jianda’s also a radio host at BlogTalkRadio, and a writer.

“Whole Heart” is available for free, streaming exclusively at Myspace.com/JiandaMonique. You can click the links below to hear it, or you can purchase her current album “Jianda Monique” at Jianda.net (just click the “Buy Now” button on that homepage: www.jianda.net).
