Plus Size Clothing Magazine’s Looking Through a Clothes Rack, Darkly….

Entering the realm of the senses in the gothic fashion world is such a delight! We know: it sounds like a contradiction in terms–just trust us. Vampires were hot long before Twilight….

Gothic chic grew, twirling, twisting, and mirror-dance gyrating alongside Goth culture, articulating itself in music, art, prose, and of course, fashion. During its evolution, Gothic culture has generally been full figure friendly, much like the Rockabilly fashion set. Much of Gothic culture is enveloped in forward thinking, out-of-the-box artist-types, and (dare we say it) sometimes Dommes in dungeons and their entourage, who can sometimes be be fuller figured in general (demanding presence, and all).

Meanwhile, if a Goth club kid is going to be a skinny-size-snob…

Being You is Beautiful – IGIGI Films – Igigi.com

Plus Size Clothing Magazine Sips Café Au Lait While Delighting in the Latest Quadruple F: Full Figured Fashion-Diva Film.

Plus Size Clothing designer Yuliya Raquel’s darling San Francisco-based 12+ brand IGIGI launched its soft, poetic short film “Being You is Beautiful” last week on YouTube. The film is the second in a series of cinematic IGIGI shorts, called “16.”

In “Being You is Beautiful” one of IGIGI’s favorite models, the Brazilian bombshell Fluvia Lacerda is a living, breathing poem, fancying herself in her own reflection in black and white, nostalgic tones. The sensual short is directed by fashion photographer/director Mark De Paola whose previous credits include projects for Armani and DKNY.

Reminiscent of the Elijah Wood…

Plus Size Clothing Magazine Says: “For Those about to SKORCH, We Salute You.”

Just imagine this: what if Sassy magazine had been SKORCH instead, back in the day? The formative years of our previous generation would have been so much more progressive, tolerant, and rocking! Quite likely there’d be little to no controversy about real-life curves in today’s fashion world. Okay, hindsight’s always 20/20, and thankfully that’s…

Trentacosta – Classic Tailored Fashions for the Full Figured Power Diva

Darren Trenacosta – Trentacosta.com

“The girls were gorgeous, but they were being shot as though they were sex-less old maids!” – Darren Trentacosta, on the need for va-va-vooming up the plus size look

Plus Size Clothing Magazine Reviews the On-Trend, Designed to Fit Trentacosta Line.

Four years on, Trentacosta New York is in fine form. Playing word association with its designs in mind is easy: Smart. Regal. Clean lines. Tastefully feminine. Most ideal for the curves-plus woman. Trentacosta New York’s stylish fashion craftsmanship is impressive.

The woman’s plus size clothing designer’s new Spring Summer 2010 collection, due in stores and online on May 1, cuts a winning, handsome figure and makes you think twice about getting your garments tailored. What’s exceptional about this line of full figured women’s blouses, slacks, dresses, and more is the fact that the clothes are already tailored, before they make their way to the boutique, on a fully-bodied Size 18 fit model. How you riff on the rest of the fit is always up to you.

Jessica Biffi – JessicaBiffi.com

Plus Size Clothing Magazine Checks in on Jessica Biffi: from Indie, to Etsy, to Fashion Week, to You.

“It’s not necessarily about taking one style you have and making it for a larger size,” she says. “What works for a two doesn’t necessarily work for a six or a 10.”                                           – Jessica Biffi, to the Calgary Herald

Yesterday, Project Runway Canada alum Jessica Biffi’s indie designer gear launched with two new collections in true Web 2.0 style: debuting at LG Fashion Week, in Addition Elle boutiques for women of size, and for MXM (the Bold Biffi line). This up and coming curvy clothing artisan is selling her wares both online and in stores, and both of her retailers of choice specialize in women’s clothing in sizes 14 and up. Facebook, Twitter, and Google continue to spread the Biffi love byte by byte. In the full figured world of diversified fashion, you can never get…
